6. Shotguns (U)
As discussed earlier in this section, weapon inaccuracy is increased when running and greatly increased when jumping. However, there are two exceptions; the shotguns, the M3 and XM1014.
Both shotguns are unaffected by movement or jumping.
This is demonstrated by going full-auto with the XM1014 on the ladder on the te_glasswall3 test map. As can be seen in the following video, each shot is on target, with the only inaccuracy being a slow crosshair climb. Essentially, with the shotguns, there is no offset, and because of the delay (even short as it is) between shots, jerk is minimal.

Note that in CS 1.3, the M3 shotgun now has nine pellets (formerly seven). The XM1014 has six. Also note that the client will only draw eight miss decals for the M3 (not properly shown here since some of the miss decals for the M3 were placed on glass panes which were subsequently shot out).
